Welcome to The Players Club

Situated just one mile from junction 18 of the M4 (Bristol/Bath) on the outskirts of Bristol bordering Wiltshire and Gloucestershire ‘The Players Club’ is dedicated to the game of golf.

With  two 18 hole courses (Codrington and Stranahan), a 9 hole Par 3 course (Watergarden) and first class practice facilities is it has become home to over 150 golf professionals. We have staged 9 SKY televised Europro events and 4 West Region PGA championships as well as regional finals for many top amateur and professional events.

The club opened in 2002 and was quickly ranked 113 in  the Golf World 2006 ‘Top Courses in Great Britain and Ireland all 3 course have built to the finest specifications with full specification ‘bent grass’ USGA greens and a landscape that is mature with woodland, lakes, trees and gorse all coming into play.

The courses are designed by Adrian Stiff who also designed highly rated neighbouring Cumberwell Park and The Kendleshire. It’s flagship Codrington course, is designed to test you, thrill you and frustrate in equal measure, with the Stranahan course requiring positional play and is ideal for a casual round or for Societies.

As Todays Golfer magazine put it

“If you’re looking for a top match play venue, The Players Club Golf Course will definitely do the trick. With so much trouble around, usually in the form of sand and lakes, the wheels can fall off at any time. The Players Club is one of the best UK golf courses to emerge in the last few years. It may have opened as recently as May 2002, but it is maturing fast and its reputation is spreading far beyond the west country “
