HAPPY FIVERS IS BACK....from 17.00 Monday to Friday buggies are just a FIVER and you can buy a beer and baguette (or sausage roll, scotch egg) for a FIVER. ****The WHITE YELLOW and RED colour codings return to both courses, White flags denote the back 10 yards, Red flags the first 10 yards and Yellow for the middle section. ******Chris Terrington and Arend Welmers are tied at the top of the order of merit, but Daniel Venning is just a point behind following his Kings Driver win with a nett 60. Gordon Brand junior is in 74th position.****The First team are off to a good start and have not lost a single match at home yet, with an away draw at Mendip they look in good position whilst the Second team need just two home wins to be promoted. The Thirds have six points out of eight, could all three teams go up?

Welcome to The Players Club

Situated just one mile from junction 18 of the M4 (Bristol/Bath) on the outskirts of Bristol bordering Wiltshire and Gloucestershire ‘The Players Club’ is dedicated to the game of golf. With  two 18 hole courses, a 9 hole Par 3 course and together with first class practice facilities it has become home to over 150 golf professionals. We have staged nine SKY televised Europro events, five West Region PGA championships and the English Over 48s championship three times as well as regional finals for many top amateur and professional events. In 2015 we staged 1 qualification for the Europro tour for the tenth time. The club opened in 2002 and was quickly ranked 113 in  the Golf World 2006 ‘Best Courses in Great Britain and Ireland’. All the courses have been built to the finest specifications with USGA greens, fairway irrigation and a rich landscape with woodland, lakes and gorse all coming into play. The courses are designed by Adrian Stiff who also designed highly rated neighbours Cumberwell Park and The Kendleshire. It’s flagship Codrington course, is designed to test you, thrill you and frustrate in equal measure, with the Stranahan course requiring positional play and is ideal for higher handicappers, ladies and seniors.

Stranahan Flyover

As Todays Golfer magazine put it  “If you’re looking for a top match play venue, The Players Club Golf Course will definitely do the trick. With so much trouble around, usually in the form of sand and lakes, the wheels can fall off at any time. The Players Club is one of the best UK golf courses to emerge in the last few years. It may have opened as recently as May 2002, but it is maturing fast and its reputation is spreading far beyond the west country “
