Zac Annear already a club champion at three different clubs added his second title with superb golf over the weekend. Rounds of 72 and 68 were enough to pip overnight leader James Buckley 71-77 into second place by eight strokes. Going out in 32 on the front nine Zac took charge making four birdies and two eagles which included holing out from 100 yards at the 15th and complimented by a fly over of the Red Arrows. Zac dedicated his luck to his good friend Paul Morris who passed away recently. Kobe Wesson was third 76-73. The Nett competition saw 13 year old Charlie Pearce-Ward take the Lynwood Trophy with 64-72 nett, whilst John Ruff took the McTiffin Vase with Saturday’s 64 nett. Nigel Gravelle was in the mix until his old legs tired but still a good pair of 75s to be 4th, he had got back to one over after 27. Graham Hinkley took 5th spot with 73-78. The first four scores will compete in the Scratch Cup. In the Semi Finals: Zac Annear will play Nigel Gravelle whilst Kobe Wesson will take on James Buckley.
