[email protected] The Bonny Gate – Fife

JUST 15 MINUTES FROM ST ANDREWS We have 4 twin rooms at Cupar, Fife. Situated at 106 on the Bonnygate the apartment  above Walkers upholstery can sleep 8. It has 4 bedrooms with, 5 double beds and 3 single beds, two bathrooms, a lounge, kitchen, dining room and an outside smoking area.

The Bonnygate is about a mile long and has an array of pubs, restaurants, shops and take-away’s. Parking is good and Cupar is situated with a number of good roads allowing access to the great golfing havens on Fife and even Angus with Carnoustie, Panmure and Monifieth all being 40 minutes away. Gleneagles in another direction is also 40 minutes away. St Andrews is 9 miles away so it’s array of 10 golf courses are just 15 minutes away. Kingsbarns is 25 minutes whilst Elie, Crail and Dunbarnie are 20 minutes away on the south road. Anstruther has a lovely 9 hole course and the old harbour has the best fish and chip shop in the world according to many and worth spending a few hours in. Levin and Lundin Links are about 25 minutes away, in all you have about 20 great golf courses that are ‘must plays’. A golf trip to Fife may take several visits before you play them all.

The Bonnygate can be rented for £320 per night with a minimum three day stay. Cupar is 50 minutes from Edinburgh airport and we recommend Green Motion as our preferred car hire company with an easy pick up service from the airport. If you fancy a drive expect at least 6 hours non stop driving as a minimum from The Players Club. It is 4 hours as a minimum to Scotland then 2 hours from the border.

Bookings are open now  via the office. 01454 313029 opt 2.

https://www.standrews.com/play/offers-packages This link will provide you with some information on the most cost effective way of playing the seven golf courses at St Andrews. In our opinion we would skip the Balgove and Strathtyrum course but the other five are absolute must plays and can be bought via a ticket where you can play those courses (except the Old) over a 7 day period for a discounted rate. Playing the Old course you may need to be fortunate with the ballott. This is how we rank the courses of St Andrews. 1-Old Course 2- New Course 3- Castle Course 4- Jubilee Course 5- Eden Course 6- Dukes Course 7- Torrance Course 8- Kittocks Course 9- Strathtyrum Course 10- Balgove Course. On the South side of Fife, we like 1- Kingsbarns 2- Dunbarnie 3-Elie 4- Crail 5-Levin 6- Lundin links 7- Anstruther. Near Cupar we have the old nine holer itself, Ladybank and Scotscraig are fairly close along with Elmwood and St Michaels.
